Movin' and Groovin' with JoLynn
Join us on Monday's and Wednesday's for "Exercise with Jo Lynn" - Movin' & Groovin'. 9:00am - 9:45am. Wheelchairs and Walkers are welcome!
Come and join the men and women who exercise with JoLynn on Monday and Wednesday mornings. JoLynn is an awesome singer and brings lots of music and fun. She offers an excellent strategy for health and fitness! 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Using chairs as balance aids, this class will get you circulating and keep you flexible. Move to music classics and groove to some new ones! $2 per class for members, $3 per class nonmembers.
Sixteen-Week exercise classes are held at the Center on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday that are conducted by trained staff from the Monroe Family YMCA. This class is evidenced based and is designed to improve strength and blood pressure and cholesterol numbers.

On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Cheri leads the Chair Yoga class at 10:15 a.m. We will take you through a wonderful yoga routine.
Country and pop tunes come together in songs with a line dancing swing to keep you energized! Our large common area becomes a dance floor for advanced participants. Everyone is welcome! Mondays, 1:30 pm. to 2:30 pm.. The class is currently looking for an instructor. Call (734) 241-0404 for information.
We have an updated exercise room for your personal exercise. Equipped with stationary bikes, recumbent bike, cardio-fit machines, scales, and treadmills.
Come use these anytime:
- Monday - Thursday: 8 am – 7 pm
- Friday: 8 am - 4 pm
- Saturday: 8 am – 2 pm
- Sunday: 10 am – 2 pm
They can also reserve time in the exercise room if they’d like. Just call the front desk and let them know.If you would like training on one of the machines, please see the front desk.
Come on the fourth Thursday of every month at 11:30 am for complimentary healthy meals and health education presentations sponsored by ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. This favorite event fills early, so reserve at (734) 241-0404.

The Monroe Center offers an exercise class to help with improving our balance. Most of the exercises are done sitting down and are designed to help strengthen our core and increase flexibility in our ankles and wrists. Exercises are at your own pace and are fun. Why not be pro-active and join us?
